Why We Built This Site
New Jersey gives the public broad access to court records, but the system is spread out. The Superior Court, Union Vicinage, handles civil, criminal, family, and special civil cases in Elizabeth. The County Clerk records land documents and runs the public land records search. The Surrogate handles wills and estates. The Sheriff runs the inmate lookup and courthouse security. Add NJ Courts statewide databases and the Open Public Records Act for agency files, and the picture gets crowded fast. We pull the contact details, search portals, and request steps for each of these offices into one place.

- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
